If you’ve ever wondered what one person is capable of… I hope you watch this video below. (One that took an embarrassingly large number of days for me to try and condense into a 90-second film for you!)

It is a story some of you might know, and some of you might just be learning about today. So I will first share a brief explanation of what you are about to watch.

Once upon a time, a mom named Kelli started a mission called Nik’s Wish in honor of her son Nik. He had passed away, but she wanted to give other young adults fighting cancer something to hold onto. A wish.

One of those wishes went to a young man named Joe.

But Joe didn’t use his wish for himself.
He used it to help others.

He became the first Angel for Nik’s Wish, raising money and helping grant even more wishes.

I made a video about Joe years ago.

And a girl named Maddie saw it… and chose to act.

We lost Joe in 2023.

But because of him, we have Maddie. Another angel, carrying his wish forward, and helping bring joy to young adults (18–24) going through cancer.

Today is Maddie’s birthday.

And there are still so many kids waiting for their wish to come true.
